5 ways to Conquer Anxiety

Anixety has been a popular subject on all of my social medias timeline, and it saddens me that so many people battle with this horrible affliction. I have dealt with it every since I was a child, but I win the war everytime. I want to share with you a few tips that work for me, and I hope that they do the same for you.

  1. God First - Go to GOD first because he knows all things! God loves you so very much, and he wants you to come to him before anybody. He allows things to happen to you to get your attention, and often times we run to something and/or someone else to help us cope, which makes things much worse. Go to God and ask him what shall I do and he will guide you. Read a few of your favorite scriptures and you will be off to a great start to peace.

  2. Remove Negativity - Get rid of those hateful, negative, and spiteful people i your life. Stay as far away as you can from them, and if you can’t, do not participate in any of there foolishness. People will bring negative energy (The Devil) to you, and that energy can bring on anxiety. Be careful about what you watch on TV and the internet, and be careful about what you listen to. Our minds are very sensitive, what you put in it is what you gonna get out of it.

  3. Do what relaxes you - You have to trick anxiety out of you because its hard to let those thoughts go. The more you find relaxation, the more those thoughts go. They may creep back in but they want have the impact that they had when it first started. So go to the beach and stare at the waters, read a book and Barnes and Nobles, or go take a walk in the park. Whatever it is that brings you peace, go get it as longs as its not something toxic for your health.

  4. Talk to Positive Friends - If you don’t have at least one motivational friend, please start over your friends list lol. God uses people around us to send messeges, and most of the times they come from somebody that loves you. That’s why having positive people in our life is so important.

  5. Work on your goals - When you work on your goals, you keep that mind healthy and busy. You don’t have the time to think about the negative and scary thoughts that sometimes keep you down. If you find yourself having the “what ifs” go back to tip one.
